More Minecraft 1.21 Features That Might ready, Release date, Leak & Rumors

The 1.20 update to Minecraft presented a number of awaited and desired changes to our blocky worlds. Minecraft 1.20 is an incredible update that adds a ton of new features, including brand-new enemies like Sniffer and camels, the option to add armor trimmings to existing pieces of armor, an archeology system, and much more. But now that the excitement has subsided, many are curious about what comes next. The release date and potential new features like mobs and biomes that could be included in the Minecraft 1.21 update are what we are focusing on here.

Release of Minecraft 1.21 will be expected.

Let's briefly discuss the last update pattern before moving on to Minecraft 1.21. However, it wasn't prepared in time for release. Originally, Minecraft 1.17 was going to be a significant Caves & Cliffs upgrade. As a result, it was divided into Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Part 1 and Minecraft 1.18 Caves & Cliffs Part 2. These updates were made available on June 8, 2021 and November 30, 2021, respectively.

The next major update, Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update, was published on June 7, 2022. So as you can see, during the last three upgrades, Mojang had been following a bi-annual release schedule.

That changed with the Minecraft 1.20 Trails and Tales update, which was released a year after the Wild Update, on June 7, 2022.

What is the reason for the delay? Unfortunately, this was the outcome of community unhappiness, as many promised additions were canceled or postponed. Therefore, the developers of Minecraft 1.20 decided not to overpromise and underdeliver like earlier releases. The future Minecraft 1.21 update is expected to follow the same path, and we anticipate it to do so. So, the Minecraft 1.21 update will most likely be released in June 2024.

Lego 1.21 Name: What Is the Update Called?

When it was first announced back in October 2022, the most recent significant update, MC 1.20, had no a name. Several months later, Minecraft 1.20 was given an official name. This can be a result of the unhappiness in the community discussed in the preceding section. Because of this, Mojang might be hesitant to give the Minecraft 1.21 update a name and instead concentrate on its features. However, that doesn't stop us from coming up with our own theories and guessing what the subject of the upcoming release will be.

The Last Update?

The End Update is by far one of the most requested updates in the history of Minecraft. The Mojang team has thus far largely ignored this dimension. It remains a straightforward, largely empty dimension with a few enemies, a building that contains the game's literal boss and the most powerful loot, and a few other enemies. You'd think it deserved a little more love and respect. The End dimension has a great opportunity to be completely redesigned and brought to life in the Minecraft 1.21 update.

The Inventory Update?

Furthermore, an issue that every Minecraft player suffers is a lack of inventory space. Even if you have a lot of shulker boxes to help you move objects around, you'll still require extra space in your default inventory. Even if you have a number of shulker boxes to help you move items around, you'll want extra room in your basic inventory. Is there a connection between this current problem with Minecraft 1.21, and may it be the solution? Will the Inventory Update be released? Leave what you have to say in the comments!

What happened to the Biomes?

The videos on the official Minecraft YouTube channel may have important indications regarding the 1.21 release if you happen to be skimming through them by accident. The team has begun sharing films from The Great Wild series highlighting different biomes in the game. Although Mojang frequently produces content that makes hints at upcoming additions, this instance might be uncommon.

What new features will be added to each biome in Minecraft 1.21's biome update? The desert, savanna, and badlands biomes are only a few examples of biomes that might undergo an improvement.

In 2018 and 2019, the community chose one of the three biomes that Mojang designated as needing improvement during the Biome Vote. However, this does not indicate that features developed for other biomes won't ever be implemented. Look at the animals like meerkats, palm trees, ostriches, vultures, and other creatures that may make fantastic additions to Minecraft.

Minecraft 1.21: New Biomes & Mobs (Speculation)

Let's discuss a few potential possibilities we believe will be included in Minecraft 1.21. New biomes and mobs will undoubtedly depend on the update's theme.

Ostriches, Meerkats, and Vultures

As indicated in the preceding section, Minecraft has a number of half-developed or temporarily forgotten features. These include the passive or neutral populations of the desert, savanna, and badlands biomes, which include meerkats, ostriches, and vultures.

The Revamp of the End Biome

The Nether dimension was very basic prior to Minecraft 1.16. Its environment was nearly all netherrack, and the monsters roaming the area were zombified piglins with ghasts in the air. The entire Nether received an incredible overhaul with the Minecraft 1.16 update, which included new biomes, mobs, ambient music, and more.

The End dimension, which embodies the "old Nether" emotions, would benefit from a similar makeover. There could be several new End biomes, with some cultivating unusual End flora and others housing hazardous creatures like the red dragon referenced in Notch's tweet a long time ago.

New Minecraft 1.21 Features We Can Expect

1. Long-Awaited Blocks

On June 11, Minecraft art director Jappa (Jasper Boerstra) tweeted that Mojang should include building or ornamental blocks or block sets to Minecraft in the Minecraft 1.21 update.

There have been many fantastic guidelines from the community, but many people have agreed on one set of blocks in particular. These are the slab, stair, and wall variations of terracotta and concrete blocks. These bricks were added in the Minecraft 1.6 and 1.12 upgrades, although they do not have variants like other blocks. Builders will have far more control and possibilities with the advent of these blocks.

2. New Precious Material

At first glance, the official Minecraft 1.20 launcher backdrop image is beautiful and typical, right? Some users have noticed a very strange detail in this artwork. On the right side, there are item frames with a white helmet and boots.

You could think it's just iron armor, but it's not since that's the netherite armor texture. In the Minecraft 1.21 update, might it be made from new, rare, and precious ore found in the End dimension that is even more potent and durable than the archaic ruins in the Nether? Is it netherite armor that has been dyed? We don't know for certain yet.

3. Additional Wood Types

You can never get enough of the new wood blocks, even though version 1.20 included two amazing new wood sets: cherry wood and bamboo wood. The Biome Vote 2018 hinted the possibility of brand-new default trees like palm trees for deserts and baobab trees for savannas.

We can construct with blocks that resemble aliens because the Nether Update added two tree variants—or should we say huge mushroom variants—and Minecraft 1.21 may do the same.

4. Unknown New Dimension

Since the warden and ancient cities were added in the Minecraft 1.19 release, everyone has been asking the same question: Will a new dimension appear? Each ancient city has a massive portal-like structure at its heart. At first appearance, it resembles the gigantic "portal" composed of immovable reinforced deepslate blocks. But where might this doorway take you?

The enormous edifice in the ancient city that resembled a warden was lit by a nether gateway.

A lot of theories about the Ancient City gateway in Minecraft 1.21 may have finally been dispelled. However, Mojang has stated that they would not add any extra dimensions until they are pleased with the ones that are presently in the game. As a result, the End Update appears to be a lot more fair.

More Ambient Features

Ambience suggests immersive features that will make Minecraft feel more alive. So far, they've been somewhat missing in the game. Ambient music can be found in a few places, such as the Nether or underwater in the Overworld, but it is insufficient.

Minecraft 1.21: Java & Bedrock Compatibility

Even though Minecraft is just one game, there are two distinct editions: Java and Bedrock Edition. For the past few years, the developers at Mojang Studios have been working to bring parity to their feature set. Their efforts were largely successful, as more and more limited-edition features lost their exclusivity. However, there are several unique aspects that should be addressed with the Minecraft 1.21 release.

Shaders

Shaders are popular with Java gamers since they entirely change the appearance of the game. If you're interested, look at the top Minecraft 1.20 shaders. On the other hand, Bedrock users have access to Minecraft with RTX, a feature that enables real-time ray tracing to produce stunning images.

A shader pack known as the Super Duper Graphics Pack DLC was also announced by Mojang in 2017. It would have attributes like moving shadows, focused lighting, edge highlighting, and many more. So we'd love to see official RTX-like DLC arrive in Minecraft Java Edition.

At the present, these are only rumors, along with some community feature requests, but we should hear from Mojang in the next months. What features do you wish to see in Minecraft 1.21? Please share your thoughts and ideas in the comments section below.
