The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen to enhance the salary for its players in order to reward them for their abilities and commitment to the game. The PCB Management Committee Chairman, Zaka Ashraf, claims that the board cherishes its cricketers and wants to show its appreciation by giving them greater cash benefits.


Top players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi will now receive a monthly retainership price of PKR 4.5 million apiece, which is a substantial rise compared to their prior contracts. The PCB intends to increase player compensation in additional categories. make sure that each cricket player that participates in national team competitions feels valued for their abilities and efforts.


The PCB is also allowing players more freedom to play in foreign competitions. Cricketers in the A and B categories are permitted to play in one T20 league yearly, whereas players in the C category are permitted to compete in three leagues annually.


The PCB is giving players three-year contracts as a means of fostering stability, allowing them to be free from the stress of yearly contract renewals and maybe arising problems. By doing this, the PCB and the players would be able to concentrate on the game and collaborate well.
